The Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics of the University of Tartu has been granted funding from the European Commission through the Horizon Europe ERA-Chair instrument to launch the Center for Digital Text Scholarship (DigiTS) starting in March 2025.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže announced the winner of the Latvian and Estonian Language Promotion Award in Cēsis, Latvia on July 5th.

Abstract submission for the 14th International Congress of Finno-Ugric Studies (CIFU XIV) Symposia and the General Session is now open. The congress will take place in Tartu, August 18–23, 2025.
