The Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics at the University of Tartu proudly announces that this June, the first students of the international master's programme Estonian and Finno-Ugric Languages (EFUL) have graduated. New specialists in Finno-Ugric languages can now further popularise this unique language group worldwide.
EFUL students defended theses on the pronunciation and case system of the Estonian language as well as on the peculiarities of other Finno-Ugric languages. You can familiarize yourself with master's theses in DSpace.
This innovative programme has been designed to offer international students the opportunity to study Estonian and Finno-Ugric languages regardless of their proficiency level in these languages before starting their studies. Delivered entirely in English, the programme makes learning Finno-Ugric languages and cultural exploration accessible to students worldwide. Students study world-class linguistics at the University of Tartu and immerse themselves in the Finno-Ugric culture that is still very much alive in Tartu.
