October 24th is filled with MEDAL workshops

Two MEDAL workshops will be held on October 24th. Participants will deep dive into Open Science and examine early language development using the Wordbank database.

 

1)    MEDAL workshop:  “Introduction to Open Science & How to open up your data”

11 AM - 1:30 PM

In this workshop by Jennifer Sander and Dirk van Gorp, we will dive into Open Science. The workshop will cover two important aspects of Open Science: Open Access Publishing and Open Data.

2)    MEDAL workshop: “Using Wordbank for language development research”

4 PM - 7PM

In this workshop by Alvin Wei Ming Tan and Michael C. Frank, we will examine early language development using the Wordbank database. Statistics program R will be used in this workshop.
