Filmo-Ugri movie nights

This autumn, the Filmo-Ugric movie nights series will start at the University of Tartu, organized by the student representatives of the Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics of UT. Films about Finno-Ugric culture and linguistics are shown on the last Thursday of every month.

The first film is introduced by digital linguistics lecturer Joshua Wilbur, who is also involved in Pite Sami language research.

Five films are scheduled for this academic year:

28.11                “Sami blood”

30.01                “Singin’ in the Rain”  

27.02                “Stolen”   

27.03                “Do I Sound Gay?” 

24.04                “Toorumi pojad” 

Movie nights take place in Jakob 2 circular lecture hall (226).

Viewers are treated to refreshing drinks and nibbles.
