The 14th International Congress for Finno-Ugric Studies received 245 submissions

The 14th International Congress for Finno-Ugric Studies (CIFU XIV) has received 245 submissions! CIFU is the most important international academic event for research on the Finno-Ugric (Uralic) languages, cultures, literature, folklore, art, music, religions, history, genetics, and archaeology. The next congress will take place on August 18–23 2025 in Tartu, Estonia. 

Of the 245 submissions, 181 have been submitted to the Symposia, 58 to the General Session, and 6 to the Poster Session. In total, there are 338 authors of the abstracts. The largest number of authors are from Estonia, Finland, and Hungary. We have also received abstracts from Austria, Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, the UK, Ukraine, the USA, Uzbekistan, and other countries.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent out in December 2024. In some cases, notifications may take a bit longer. Information about registration will be provided in the 3rd Circular of the Congress in January 2025.
