On November 20th, Dagmar Divjak (University of Birmingham, Editor-in-Chief of Cognitive Linguistics) will give us a look at the behind-the-scenes of a journal.
In the morning hybrid session she’ll take us through the entire submission process for Cognitive Linguistics. You’ll learn what editors look for at each stage, from submission to publication.
In the afternoon, Dagmar will run a hands-on session on how to handle reviewer feedback, including difficult and conflicting comments for Tartu attendees only. She’ll work with participants on real reviews, showing how to respond effectively and use feedback to strengthen your work. There will also be time for individual consultations with Dagmar.
Schedule for the workshop (EE time):
10:00 - 12:00 All About Publishing (Hybrid)
14:00 - 16:00 How to Deal with Reviewer Comments (In-person, Tartu only)
16:00 - onwards Consultations with Dagmar
The Zoom link will be sent after registration.
