On 23 October, all Finno-Ugric enthusiasts will have the opportunity to test their writing skills at the Finno-Ugric Wikipedia Workshop. Write an article in a Finno-Ugric language or on a Finno-Ugric topic – either contribute to an existing article or create a brand new one! Participants will need to have a basic level of Estonian to take part fully.
The event will take place on 23 October from 16:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. at the University of Tartu, Jakobi 2-423. At the beginning of the workshop, Wikimedia Estonia’s Communications Manager Pille Priks will introduce the basics of writing Wikipedia articles and share useful tips. The talk will be in Estonian. Afterwards, participants will write together, with the possibility to consult a Wikipedia specialist if needed. To make the work smoother, participants are asked to choose a topic in advance from the topics table.

Participants will have access to both the Estonian language library (room 423) and the Finno-Ugric library (room 422) for materials.
Snacks will be provided, and prizes will be raffled among participants.
